Some musical project I’m involved in…

YRSEL

Yrsel is a collaboration between Julien Louvet (Austrasian Goat, Death To Pigs, 14:13) and CJ Larsgarden (Ondo, APF, Forest City). Though hailing from different musical genres and from France and Sweden respectively, the two artists bonded following a split release on DIY label Burning Emptiness. YRSEL create complex, multi-layered and atmospheric music that fully explodes the genres of drone, doom and electronica resulting in a glacial melt of sound and texture. 

In 2010 Yrsel released two albums, «Requiem for the three Kharites» (CD) and «Sacrifice» (vinyl-LP), both released via Aurora Borealis label. During 2010 the band also did its live debut with shows in France and Belgium.

The band released a new album (2LP and CD)  2013 called ”Abraxas” on 213 Records and Tuguska Label. 

2015 the band played a few live shows in France and Belgium.

Soloproject 

ONDO (2007 - 2015) I AOVL (2016 - )

Solo project focusing on dark drones and experimental electronic sounds. Releases on Abgurd (Russia), Paradigms (UK), Peasant Magik (USA), Tuguska (Sweden), Idrone Park (UK), Plauge Recordings (Belgium), Premature Burial (USA), Burning Emptiness (France), 200mg (USA).

In the begining of 2016 I buried the name ONDO and will continue record music in the same vein under the moniker AOVL.

FOREST CITY 

A cooperation featuring me, Thomas Jonsson (APF, I’m Kingfisher) and Christophe Baileau. Debut album “Peloton” out now on Autres Directions in Music (2013)

A PERFECT FRIEND

Collaboration with Tomas Jonsson (I’m Kingfisher). Two releases out, one CD on Stilll and a digital release on Knoppar. Does live shows occasionally. 

PACTA 

Solo project started 2004. Guitars, electronics and laptop manipulations.

LARSGARDEN / ROWENTA

A collaboration between me and German sound artist Frank Rowenta. Rowenta has been active in the experimental music scene since the early eighties and has released various records.

Larsgarden / Rowenta releases: “Electromagnetic Spheres” CDr and 3" CDr on Tuguska Label.
